Loon Photography Tours & Workshops

To North Americans the loon is a symbol of wilderness and solitude. Its' stunning beauty has made it one of the most sought after birds to photograph. To get the sharpest images possible we use monopods or tripods set up in a very stable 19' boat, laid out specifically for photography. With comfortable swivel seats, flat floor and a removable top to protect us from the sun & rain. The outboard motor will get us to our destination quickly, but when we arrive a silent electric motor gets us in close to the loons & offers you up close photo opportunities. During the spring, Michael monitors over 11 pairs of nesting loons. Giving you the highest chances available to photograph adult loons with chicks.

Itinerary: We will be on the water for the early morning light. Breakfast will be served on board the boat, and by midmorning we will return in order to rest and have some lunch. Then back on the water for the evening light.

Because we photograph mainly "wild" Wildlife some of my workshops could come and go in a matter of days.
If I have located wolves, fox, bear, etc; our window of opportunity is very small.
